(Overview of the Performance of the Upazila Education Office,Boda, Panchagarh )

Recent Achievements, Challenges and Future Plans:

Achivment (3 Years)

Upazila Education Office, Boda, Panchagarh is committed to ensure quality pre-primary and primary education. In order to achieve the desired ratio of teachers to students in the classroom, 51 teachers have been recruited in this upazila and 97 classrooms have been constructed. 08 tube wells and 36 washblocks have been constructed to make the students health conscious and to create a conducive learning environment. Free textbooks in four colors have been distributed to all students on January 1.From the financial year 017-18, stipends are being paid on the mobile phones of all the students who are available through mobile banking. For the implementation of School Level Improvement Plan (SLIP) in all government primary schools, an allocation of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh per annum is being provided to the schools. Moreover, the final examination of primary and ibtedayi education is being taken regularly every year. Bangabandhu and Bangamata Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament is being conducted every year with the participation of students from 171 schools. Inter-school sports and cultural competitions are being conducted every year with the participation of students from 171 schools. The overall responsibility of primary education is constitutionally on the state and considering that, primary education has been made constitutionally unpaid and compulsory.

Problems and Challenges:
The main problems and challenges of primary education in the upazila are to fill the vacancies of teachers / officers and to achieve the desired teacher-student-classroom-student ratio through construction and renovation of new buildings / classrooms. To get accustomed to methodical teaching by avoiding the tendency of teachers to teach in the classroom. To discourage sending children from poor families to labor-intensive workplaces instead of schools.

Future plans:
Steps will be taken to ensure primary education management and infrastructure construction, including the preparation of ID cards and databases with pictures of all students. Necessary steps will be taken to formulate digital student attendance system. All possible initiatives will be taken to bring drop-out and out-of-school children to school and ensure their primary education.In addition to implementing the steps taken by the government to ensure quality education for all children, initiatives will be taken to further involve the local community in primary schools.
Potential major achievements of FY 2021-22:
Provide stipends to all available students;
Distribute free textbooks to students at the beginning of the school year;
Introduce an integrated dashboard to streamline the primary education system;
Implementation of School Level Improvement Plan (SLIP) in GPS.
